Our butterfly release! 

Congratulations to all of our preschool and nursery school graduates!  We wish all  a great year in kindergarten and hope that you will stop in to visit often!

Don't forget that we are closed on Monday, July 1st for Canada Day!  We hope all our families have a fun and relaxing long weekend!  We are looking forward to the start on summer camps on Tuesday, July 2!

We have butterflies!

Our caterpillars have become butterflies!  Feel free to pop into the classroom to check them out!

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers that we have in our centre!  We hope you have a relaxing and restful weekend!

On our nature walk this morning we saw a bird pull a worm right out of the ground!  Even more exciting than that we got to see the bird take the worm to its nest and feed its young!

THIS FRIDAY is the last parent's night out of the school year!  If you would like to register please see one of the teachers!

Our Caterpillars have begun their final stage before they become a butterfly!  Make sure you pop into the classroom to see them up close!

Our JK/SK classroom gets a weekly visit from Stonehaven Manor.  This week Hope and Katherine came and read us books about Dinosaurs and have promised next week to bring some about trucks and hockey!

It is our last week for our Make a Wish stars!  Please help us grant a child's wish buy purchasing a star for our wall!

Yesterday our Tiny Hoppers learned all about bee bread!  Bee bread is the pollen that the bees collect in flowers and then feed to their young.  To show the children what it looked like we rolled a cotton ball on the inside of a tulip.  After showing them the experiment we placed it out on our science table for the children to try themselves!

Our classroom caterpillars are growing so fast!  Check back tomorrow to see if they have started the change into the next stage!

Our caterpillars have nearly doubled in size in just 4 days!

 

What a great activity to work on fine motor skills!  The children were moving ping pongs balls from one bucket to each other using tongs!

Our nursery school children loved dancing like butterflies in the bubbles!
